Cathedral bay Raymond Carver
The story is about the blind man, the narrator and the narrator's wife. After the blind man's wife died, he decided to visit them. The narrator admits he is not happy with the visit.Then the narrator's wife brings the blind man into the house. Drink in hand, the narrator watches them move, laughing, from the car to the door. The narrator is not comfortable because he does not know how to treat a blind man correctly and how to describe what the cathedral is to the blind man.Then the blind man asks the narrator to find some pen and they could draw the cathedral together.The blind man somehow teaches the narrator the beauty of the cathedral when he draw it with his eyes are closed.
